Footwear and apparel play a leading role in Shishi economy growth

The number of enterprises in Shishi City with annual output value over 100 million yuan broke the record to one hundred in 2009, increased 25% in numbers from 2008.

Among them 48 enterprises in sectors of textiles and garments, shoes and hat generated total production value of 17.9 billion yuan, and 18 companies in leather and fur, feather and down sectors contributed 7.65 billion yuan in production, 11 companies in textile sector totaled 3 billion yuan of production value.

Footwear and apparel are growing to the pillar industries in Shishi City and expected to play more and more role in local economic growth.
