Forecast: China fur market trends in 2010

In January price of fur skins have amounted to the record high in china market, and the current price and trends of price in 2010 are much concerned by the industry.

It said current domestic market price for a piece of blue arctic skin above 1 meter long will be sold at 700 yuan, silver fox about 85 to 90 cm at 550 yuan, raccoon above 1meter long priced at 350 yuan, 45 yuan for a piece of rex rabbit, and 300 yuan for marten. Such high price has brought lucrative profits to fur traders.

As for the trend of market the writer told about his personal opinion, he said economic recession didn’t show ful recovery although China fur industry performed well in the past year, foreign markets particularly in Russia don’t show more improvement. As extremely cold winter in 2009 and good sales of fur clothing the demand of fur skins could be increased in 2010, at the same time more fur skins is expected to be imported that could ease the rising of price.
