Sudan government allocates special funds to boost leather industry

According to Sudanese media report on January 26, 2010, the state minister of Sudan Industry Ministry said on National Industrial Conference that Sudanese centre bank has allocated a special fund to boost leather industry, the total investment in the industry rose to 180 US dollars. the minister called on Ministry of Animal Resources to give priority on leather technology and foreign investment to leather goods.
It said that Sudanese leather industry earned 30 million U.S. dollars in 2009, and sets target of 150 million U.S. dollars for this year.
